I wrote this blog on the new year but forgot to post it... so doing it now.
What does a new year mean to me
Start of a new year always brings back lots of memories, not
particularly from the last year but any time. The problem with memories is they
don’t come with date stamp like the camera does.
There had been times when I have cried and there have been
times I have felt the meaning of the famous dialogue “ Dharti par agar kahin
swarg hai to wo yahin hai …yahin hai… yahin hai”. It’s too sad people keep
looking for heaven and start fasting, praying and start looking upto God in a
hope of heaven.
Last year was a tsunami of emotions for me both good bad and
sometimes confusing,
My sister got married – Happy
She went away to US – Sad
Idea of her bringing a gift for me - Confusing
Wife got Pregnant – Happy
Doing all the chores – Sad
Idea of the added responsibility – Confusing
Friends lost touch – Sad
Went out on a trip with them – Happy
One of them missed the trip but we managed to make him
jealous – Confusing
Parents shifting in with me – Happy
No more parties – Sad
Parents going on a short winter break – confusing
So my point being when I am in the happy zone I am in heaven
and there is no second heaven which could match that.
